God Winks and Synchronicities
Synchronicities are little moments of coincidence that feel like a nod from the universe that you are on the right path. Or a split second that makes you feel that we are all more connected than we think; like thinking of a friend and then receiving a text from them. I also call them God Winks.
My first significant synchronicity happened in the beginning of 2019. This one also falls under the category of an answered prayer.
When God answers a specific prayer, immediately.
I had been out of work for almost three years and was really feeling called to get back into the corporate world.
At that time, I was going to a spin class twice a week and there was a coffee shop next door. On one occasion I saw an old colleague of mine, Terry, as we both were grabbing a cup of coffee to go. We chatted about life and he told me that he had just switched companies and was working for our old boss at his new start up.
Fast forward three months. I hadn’t seen or thought about Terry since. One freezing Tuesday, I finished a spin class and decided to go on a run nearby on the waterway. As I’m running, out of nowhere Terry and this company come into my mind. I was feeling pulled toward this company (a new thing for me – I didn’t often get these intuitive insights). So, I prayed specifically, “God, if this is your path for me, when I finish this run and walk into this coffee shop, Terry will be there.”
And wouldn’t you know it. As I open the door, there he was.
Not only was Terry in the coffee shop…but he told me the head of the company was also in town from London, and they were having a meeting nearby. He invited me to go say hi.
Within two months I was on the payroll.
Peace that follows an answered prayer
It was such a wild experience, and I loved the peace I felt starting that new chapter of life, knowing it was aligned with God’s plan for me. It was my first tangibly answered prayer or major synchronicity, and it caused me to start paying more attention.
Do you know how when you get a new car you start seeing it all of the time? Once I was attuned and paying attention, the synchronicities started piling up.
